I’m sure they’re not the only ones.

Wil be interesting to see how they play now, with nothing to play for.

We will still lose 5-0.

City and PSG are regarded as "new money" "old money" ie Real Madrid Man utd etc do not need more clubs upsetting their cartel, far better get rid of them now , football at the top level stinks and the sooner us the people that pay at the gate or through tv subscription walk away nothing will change .

That has the odour of the Premier League feeling that the history and global appeal of Manchester United has a greater revenue earning potential than whatever the current owners of Manchester City can ever bring.

A premier league without the red-wearing Man U or Liverpool would be virtually unsellable to the rest of the world. Without any/all of the other four that make up the "Big 6", it would still be a viable and lucrative product.

City voted for FFP like the rest of the big clubs and with revenues of 500m + last year and the previous year where was the need to breach rules.

Football is supposed to be entertainment for those who enjoy the game so banning a club from playing only hurt's the fans.

Money has and will continue to kill our wonderful game.

Re: Man City Champions league ban
Have any clubs ever been banned from the Champions league for upcoming seasons?

To be honest I don’t particularly care about that bit.
But the Premier league growing a pair and putting Man City in one of the relegation places so reprieving the team that finishes 18th is of GREAT interest.

The ban will be suspended for two years, it's football, they always find a way of helping the rich!

There's some chatter about their 2013-2024 PL title being revoked, as that was within the offending period.

Manager? Pellegrini.
Who did they secure title against? 2-0 Vs West Ham

It's OUR fault.

I have always thought FFP was a complete waste of time how is it fair play when you have other teams in Europe being financed by the Government.

How is it Fair Play can spend more on wages than teams outside the top 6.

My understanding of Fair Play is Just that everyone on a level playing field .

Re: Man City Champions league ban
The only solution to this is to make all contracts one year only, no salary cap and the huge fees would become signing -on fees to the players. That would of course largely go to agents who would have an annual transaction per player and the game would be ruined.

In short, let the club's do as they please. If they go bust, so what?

Can they just get one if their feeder clubs (nyc or Melbourne) to buy a youth player for 400 million?

Sponsorship fees is the biggest and easiest area to channel big funding into Football and circumvent FFP...
Obviously...

Glad they have been investigated...

Look forward to seeing the detailed evidence....if ever....

At least we can never be accused of spending beyond our means, bloody hell we don’t even spend beyond Leyton Orient’s means.

So what are accumulated losses of £167 million, in the recently published account? Just a little glitch?
